I wanted to rain on your parade, but couldn't find any compelling reason to. MAKE MORE MISTAKES, GEEZE.

The scenerio given for the game is impossible. Given that there are an infinite number of universes, and given that there is a way to access and hack into another universe. As all this is possible, Murphy's law dictates that at some point, an infinite number of universes would have come up with hacking universes before us, and given that, an infinite number of people would have decided that it is good to eliminate all the other infinite number of universes that have gained or are close to gaining the same ability. Given this, according to Murphy's law, an infinite number of universes would have singled out -this- universe for destruction for just such a reason. This would also encompass an infinite number of other universes. Really, the only safe place to be would be somewhere that will never gain such technology, as the people busy destroying other universes will be forever ending the problem of an infinite number of different universes trying to destroy them.

Also: I like smashy smashy.

a few suggestions for a third go at this: creatures that flee whatever terrible disaster you vest upon the earth. After all, being punched by God hurts.
I would also enjoy a more urban setting. envision the scene ever scrolling down a large cityscape; skyscrapers, bridges, masses of cars and whathaveyou going by... and imagine reducing it to ruins. Beautiful.

Author's Response:

that could be right.. but for every universe that's been hacked into, another one exists that hasn't (but is the same in every other way).

Imagine that "hacking" isn't even truly going on... it's just a lot of improbable events that just happened to work out every time in target universe.

that's how I explain it. ;)
